Refer Your Patient
At Blackhills Clinic, we accept referrals for all aspects of adult dentistry, with the exception of Orthodontics. We aim to contact your patient within 24 hours of receiving the referral. Where a referral is not directed to a specific clinician, we will determine which of our clinicians - or combination of clinicians - is most appropriate for your patient’s needs. This collaborative approach allows us to provide a fully integrated treatment plan and helps avoid unnecessary additional appointments.
Dentists can register to use our online referral system, which streamlines the referral process, enables faster data entry, and saves valuable time.
Please note: if you are referring a patient solely for a treatment plan or professional opinion, we must be mindful of the medico‑legal implications of providing prescriptive advice without detailed knowledge of the referrer’s individual skills and competencies. For this reason, it is not possible for us to issue a fully prescriptive treatment plan in these circumstances. Responsibility for carrying out any recommended treatment remains with the referring clinician.

When to refer
We would recommend that you refer your patient to us as soon as you feel it might be appropriate. Where possible, we would like to see the patient before any teeth are removed.

How to refer
Blackhills Clinic accepts referrals in different formats, but the easiest would be to simply complete the online referral form below, attaching any relevant radiographs, images or charts.
